| Description: | standards and rules Submitted images will be used for evaluation to assure that the art fits into the Taubman Museum of Artâs Sidewalk Art Show standards set forth in this prospectus: ï® The artist is responsible for his or her art and personal effects for the duration of the show and for displays and art left Saturday night. Although security guards will be on site Saturday night, it is recommended that art be removed from the show overnight. ï® The Taubman Museum of Art and the Sidewalk Art Show committee do not assume responsibility for works on display or for display equipment. ï® The artist is responsible for handling sales and Virginia sales tax (5%). ï® The Taubman Museum of Art does not charge commissions. ï® Animals, glass containers and alcohol are prohibited. ï® Vehicles are not allowed in the show area between 10AM-5PM on Saturday and 11 AM-5PM on Sunday. Works in the Sidewalk Art Show must be original works of fine art. All reproductions, whether framed or unframed, must be clearly and individually labeled REPRODUCTION and must not comprise more than 25% of your booth/displayâs artwork. This includes digital reproduction, including giclée or offset reproductions of work done in ANY media including hand-colored offset and digital reproductions. All nonlabeled reproductions will be subject to removal from display. The Sidewalk Art Show committee reserves the right to remove from display any work which, in its judgment, fails to meet the conditions of this prospectus or violates community standards of acceptable public display. | ||
